Vick, 31:
I have been to several orthodontists who told me that they may not be able to close my gaps. I want my gaps closed and I want to smile.
Examination:
Comprehensive dental exam including a full mouth series of X-rays, panoramic, and Ceph.
Periodontal exam, routine dental cleanings
Excellent oral hygiene, dental work completed and no decay present.
Evaluation:
Anterior open bite and spacing (canine - canine) due to tongue thrust
Airway was checked and patient was cleared for Ortho
Midline off to patients R - 1-2 mm
Treatment:
3.5 months - Invisalign therapy
2 aligners - 2 week wear 11 aligners - 1 week wear
Munchies through entire treatment - used upon every insertion, and 20 minutes throughout the day
Upper and Lower anterior lingual bonded retainers and 4 sets of Vivera over the bonded retainers.
Going on 3 year follow up, still perfectly aligned
