Fellowship Accreditation for AACA Members

Do you believe you have an increased level of skill in the Clear Aligner Field? Are you looking for a way to distinguish yourself from your peers? Apply to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

To earn Fellowship status in 2026, applicants must meet and/or complete the following requirements:

  1. Maintain active AACA membership for at least one full year by March 31, 2026.

  2. Accumulate a minimum of 50 hours of continuing education credits in orthodontics, clear aligners, or AACA continuing education courses within the previous five (5) years.

  3. Complete at least 100 lifetime clear aligner cases.

  4. Achieve a passing score of at least 65% on both of the following:

    • The Fellowship Clinical Case Review of five (5) completed clear aligner cases

    • The AACA Fellowship multiple-choice written examination

  5. Attend the AACA Convocation Ceremony, held during the AACA Top Doc Program.

Important Dates

  • March 31, 2026 Deadline for application - Google Form, completed 100 clear aligner case numbers and payment of NON-REFUNDABLE $895 application fee.

  • May 15, 2026 Case review submission deadline with before and after photographs ClinChecks and case review forms for the 5 selected cases.

  • June 6 or 7, 2026 - Online 90 minute window to complete the Fellowship Exam anytime between 8am and 8pm pacific time on these days.

  • July 16-17, 2026 Fellowship Convocation Ceremony at the ACCA Top Doc Program, Newport Beach, CA
