Dr. Mia M. Seo earned her first dental degree from Yonsei University College of Dentistry in Seoul, South Korea, in 2000. She then completed a three-year residency in endodontics, receiving advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex root canal cases. Following her residency, Dr. Seo practiced as an endodontic specialist in South Korea for five years, with extensive training and experience in microscope-assisted root canal therapy.
After relocating to San Francisco, California, Dr. Seo practiced as a general dentist, with root canal therapy comprising a significant portion of her clinical practice. In 2012, she continued her dental education at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. She graduated with multiple honors for excellence in patient care, including the American Association of Endodontists’ Excellence in Endodontics Award, an honor presented to one graduating student each year.
Since 2020, Dr. Seo has been an active member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA), continually advancing her education and clinical experience in Invisalign treatment. In 2024, she received the AACA Done in One Award, recognizing excellence in efficient and precise clear aligner treatment.
