Dr. Tricia Quartey-Sagaille was born in Camden, New Jersey and raised in Voorhees, New Jersey. She graduated from the Johns University with a major in natural sciences with concentrations in biology and earth science. She attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Quartey later completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center, receiving the prestigious award of resident of the year. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and became an orofacial myofunctional therapist to help her patients with sleep and airway issues. Dr. Quartey has become one of the top 1% general dentists in Invisalign in the nation.
Dentistry has fueled her fusion of arts and science as an avid oil painter and a self-proclaimed dental nerd. She loves learning about the changes in dentistry and educating her patients in order to maintain a healthy dentition to last a lifetime. She routinely takes five times more than the continuing education requirement and researches ways to make her patients less fearful. She is a national lecturer, former Associate Director of the Interfaith Medical Center dental residency and has been featured on CBS News, Good Housekeeping, and the New York Times among other things. She has served on the New York State Dental Association’s (NYSDA) Council on Membership. She has served on the American Dental Association’s New Dentist Committee and Student Loan Task Force. Dr. Quartey-Sagaille is currently a delegate to NYSDA and the American Dental Association, serves on NYSDA’s Council of Dental Practice and the ADA’s Council on Communications giving her expertise representing New York to advance the profession.
In the community, she is the Chairperson of the non-profit CRCEC whose mission seeks to fight youth violence by raising community awareness and creating solutions by offering positive alternatives.
