Dr. Rifkin graduated in 2016 from dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed a general practice residency in 2017 at Bellevue Hospital Center (now NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue) in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. He trained in the Maxi Implant Course, a subsidiary of the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He then continued his education with Advanced Dental Implant Studies, a think-tank of advanced implantologists from all over the country. He has completed his credentialing and is now an Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

While in Buffalo, Dr. Rifkin worked with the university’s director of implant dentistry, Sebastiano Andreana, DDS, on research into the antimicrobial effects of a root canal cleanser in treating contaminated implants. The findings of their work were published by the American Association for Dental Research in the 2015 Journal of Dental Research.

Dr. Rifkin is also trained in the treatment and maintenance of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using oral sleep appliances. In 2020, he went on to achieve Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM). He is currently treating patients in his office for OSA and other sleep disturbances.

When he’s not at the practice, Dr. Rifkin indulges in his love of sports. He’s usually found avidly following Atlanta sports teams, or on the golf course. He plays an active role in his civic community.
