1980's Called. They Want Their Paper Checks Back! 👋

When I talked to my dentist, Dr. Kwon — an AACA member from Menlo Park, California — about managing his practice's finances, I was shocked. Coming from the world of financial technology, I couldn’t believe that in his thriving practice, with millions of dollars in annual collections, most financial tasks were still being done manually — a job I took on for a few months myself.

It made me wonder about alternatives to the tens of hours spent every week on tasks like manually entering insurance payments, depositing paper checks, reconciling accounts, and sending out patient statements full of confusing billing codes.

In this course, we’ll share how we automated insurance payment processing in Dr. Kwon’s office, freeing up 60 hours a month for his team, making cash-flow 4x faster, and significantly increasing collections. We’ll cover how software can streamline the AR and improve its accuracy and reliability.

Course Objectives

  • Reveal how software can automatically post insurance payments directly into the practice management system and reconcile them against the bank account.

  • Share future developments in financial automation, like a one-stop solution for streamlined insurance AR, patient billing, dental analytics, and payroll.

  • Provide tips to reduce virtual credit card and EFT processing fees.
