This presentation focuses on Rethinking altering Vertical Dimension using Align's Digital Platform. Many of us have been warned in Dental School not to increase the vertical dimension under any circumstances. We will review how to evaluate and safely increase the vertical dimension on 2 full mouth cases. We will highlight the use of the Lumina and Oral Health Suite and the use of the Align Digital Platform for Same Day Dentistry.
Course Objectives
Demonstrate effective patient consultation techniques using iTero™ scanner visualization tools for streamlined patient communication.
Utilize iTero™ scanner add to diagnostic tools, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator and Invisalign® smile video to develop functionally driven treatment plans.
Navigate the end-to-end Align digital workflow to plan and execute extensive vertical dimension rehabilitation using a multidisciplinary treatment approach.
Dr. Steven Glassman
Dr. Steven Glassman has treated more than 2,000 Invisalign patients since 2002 and has been a member of the Align Faculty since 2004. A pioneer in digital scanning, Dr. Glassman was one of the first users of the iTero digital scanner in the world and continues to publish and lecture on comprehensive digital workflow. In 2005, he was recognized by his peers as the winner of the Invisalign Case Shootout where his case was chosen among thousands of entries. He is a proud graduate of Brandeis University and the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. He practices with his wife in the Lincoln Center area of New York City and focuses on Cosmetic, Implant and Aligner therapy. In 2018, he was named to the ZimmerBiomet faculty adding to the digital workflow of Aligners and Implants. In 2020, he received an award for 15 years of service. Recently he was the first user of the iTero 5D in the United States. Dr. Glassman was featured in the iTero Simplifying the Complex series, demonstrating the digital workflow of Porcelain Veneers.
