Dr. David Ahearn
Dr. David Ahearn’s two dental offices rank among the nation’s most productive. An early drive to create more productive and efficient practice environments led him to research the Toyota Production System and LEAN manufacturing principles. Subsequently, he founded Design/Ergonomics, the nation’s largest independent dental office design firm, and Ergonomic-Products, a manufacturer of high-productivity dental equipment.
Dr. Ahearn has held faculty positions at the University of Michigan and NYU’s College of Dentistry, and was a founding member of the ADA's Ergonomics Subcommittee. He is a frequent lecturer and author of multiple chapters in the ADA’s current Practical Guide to Dental Office Design.
